Job Description
My client is a leading construction organisation, specialising in a number of sectors including Education, Nuclear Services, Defence and Security, Energy from Waste, Roads and Rail.
PROJECT
The project is a joint venture between two major construction companies, to upgrade Victoria Rail station in order to relieve congestion in London’s busiest underground station. The scheme includes;
Enabling works.
50% enlargement of existing south ticket hall (13,000m³ top-down construction).
400m of connecting tunnels between ticket halls.
Station modernisation, including 9 new escalators and 7 new lifts to provide step free access from street level to platforms.
New northern ticket (30,000m³ top-down construction).
A new station entrance at Bressenden Place.
JOB PURPOSE
The job holder will oversee sub contractors for the M&E aspects of the project, co-ordinating between civils and the subcontractor, along with co-ordinating programmes.
You will need to have knowledge of MEP and monitor procurement times.
It is integral that you have previous capital experience on large MEP projects/works, as you will have responsibility for the lifts, escalators, HVAC, signage, plumbing, backhouse etc.
