Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Electrical Design Consultant on a 6 month contract basis based in Rugby.
The successful candidate will be working closely with the company Engineering & ITO to effectively incorporate site and major 3rd party ‘bought-in’ elements
Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Consultant:-
Key Focus Areas
All site activities including…
- Cable supply and Installation
- Cold & Hot Commissioning
- Cubicle Build
- Containerisation
Other Potential Focus Areas
- Civils
- Mechanical
- Heavy Lift
- Site Establishment and Access
- Other major non-PC core activity but essential scope to adopt ‘Turnkey offering’
Outcomes
- Establish appropriate Vendor Lists
- Prepare blueprints, templates, schedules to define scoping document to be used with 3rd party providers
- Define best practice estimation techniques
- Define working practices to be deployed to design out contingencies
- Define working practices to identify and capture solution ‘gaps’ at pre-vendor order stage to avoid scope creep and overspend
- Define working practices to resolve Scope and Site changes which effect specification change during the project cycle
Requirements of the Electrical Design Consultant:-
- Preferred 15 yrs+ in appropriate industry – Power, Energy, EPC, major electrical projects environment
- Umbrella companies only - No LTD
- Must be comfortable in completing a DBS
