Job Description

The Contract Manager will head up a Multidisciplinary Design and Build team to deliver a batch of security projects for various clients throughout the UK. The role will include both upward and downward reporting within the team and the relevant client at all times providing clear and precise direction at all levels.

Duties will include :-

  • Overseeing all activities and staff to ensure that design, procurement, financial control and site activities are managed to the highest standards in all areas of delivery
  • Align the client’s direction and needs
  • Interpret and manage contract commitments
  • Manage client/contractor expectations within the context of the subcontractor and their commitment to continuing their longstanding relationship with this client
  • Ensuring that the deliverables within each stage of the projects are being administered to the highest quality
  • Working with the client to enable the most efficient and cost-effective approach in delivering outstanding projects while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and quality
  • Assisted by the Commercial manager you will demonstrate and develop and financial controls that detail profit and loss and detailed cost to complete reports for each project within the programme
  • Development of strong team working relationships
  • Ensuring all project KPI`s and KPM`s are achieved
  • Developing accurate project programmes and cost forecasts from Gate 1
  • Ensuring compliance to the subcontractor and client procedures
  • Manage office and site staff requirements and resourcing against multiple live projects
  • Management of financial risk
  • Ownership and delivery of the entire batch of project, design, costs, programme, documentation, site activities, procurement etc
  • Promote innovative ways of working and strive for efficiency across workstream

Skills/ Experience

  • BPSS, CTC or SC clearance
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent and/or Chartered Engineer status.
  • Specific security industry related qualifications - working knowledge of physical security methods, access control systems, intruder detection systems and systems integration techniques
  • Commercial and contractual awareness, knowledge of NEC
  • Be self-motivated and able to organise yourself and others workload
  • Be able to work in a strong team environment
  • Be proactive in your approach to problem solving
  • An excellent communicator with workforce and client
  • A high level of diplomacy and customer focused
