Role Summary: -
Our client is a leading Engineering company and is looking for a Heavy Civils Site Manager for a Power Station build, the ideal candidate will have worked on capital projects and managed all the civil packages on a power build cradle to grave.
During this role you will be looking at the supervision of the works that will be taking place this will be split into different sections.
The first section you will be looking at is the Coordination & Controlling this will be looking progression of the works on site , this will include;
You will also be looking at the weekly reports and project goals to ensure that you will be able to meet them on time, the site cost will also be included within this. Alongside this you will be required to, continuously conduct risk/opportunity management and identify/record/report NCC, final site quality documentation; ensure implementation & drive construction in its own discipline.
The second section you will be looking at is the running of the contract management on site, this will be a where you will be keeping regular updates with the contractors on site meaning you will have regular meetings to look at the overview of the claim events, progress, cost survey and the claim negotiations. You will also be in control of the Inspection/testing/takeover from contractors and handover to M/E (RFE) or Commissioning (ECC).
The next section would be the solution management, you will Provide/agree solutions for removing absences; Report deficiencies to initiate project detailed answers (RFI, PCM); Provide information feedback (CAPA etc.); Escalation of issues that are unable to be resolved on site to initiate stakeholder management; Support processing of insurance cases.
Alongside all of these you will be looking at the EHS Management, interface management and the management of personal this is where you will be looking and fulfilling the “responsible site manger” whilst on site and be in accordance with the local law. You will initiate staff deployment Functional management and coordination/organisation of section engineers & supervisors, Facilitating teamwork and result orientation within team, Managing team conflict, Training of own staff, Monitoring and reviewing individual performance.
The successful candidate should have the following experience; -
- Technical experience in different international turnkey power plants
- Domain expert with leading quality
- Experience at the intercultural environment; as needed worldwide applicable, life and foreign experience and experience on construction areas.
- Technical apprenticeship or university degree in civil engineering or equivalent (e.g. architecture)
- Special focus knowledge on civil construction management
