Job Description

My client is one of the world's leading engineering professional services consulting firms. They provide services to transform the built environment and restore the natural environment, and their expertise ranges from environmental remediation to urban planning, from engineering iconic buildings to designing sustainable transport networks, and from developing the energy sources of the future to enabling new ways of extracting essential resources

ROLE: 
Support a Project Management Services by assisting in undertaking the following duties:

•    To support a Senior Project Manager in the planning, control, delivery and completion of specific projects or tasks within projects where management of building services is an important function, in accordance with defined scopes of duties and the systems, mission and values;
•    To support Project Management commissions to achieve safe, sustainable and efficient outcomes that meet agreed profit and client satisfaction objectives;
•    To develop and uphold relationships with clients, peers and others who are significant in providing future business.
•    Project manage smaller projects, or tasks for a larger project;
•    Establish a client brief with defined project benefits, scope, goals and deliverables;
•    Support With the companies Health and Safety Guidelines to achieve “Zero Harm”;
•    Manage project budgets;
•    Manage project resource allocation;
•    put into practice a project controls process and obtain necessary approvals to proceed at each stage; 
•    Plan and schedule project activities and  timelines;
•    Track project deliverables using appropriate tools;
•    Provide direction and support to project team;
•    Monitor and report on progress of the project; 
•    Implement and manage project changes and interventions to deliver project goals;
•    Arrange project evaluations and assessment of results;
•    Prepare and present internal reports;
•    Support business development and tenders
•    Make decisions; communicate and negotiate effectively; 
•    Recognise and manage risks, work as part of a team;
•    With colleagues, behave as a trusted client advisor to contribute to their success, acting fairly, ethically, and in a corporate and socially responsible manner;
•    Achieve recognition within the company and externally through qualifications, membership of professional institutions and by sharing knowledge to deliver professional excellence;
•    Take a lead in acting in a socially and environmentally responsible manner, committed to high standards of safety performance, leading to “Zero Harm”;
•    Care for colleagues, encouraging their development, engagement and achievement

 

REQUIREMENTS

•    Degree-qualified in a business services design or related discipline;
•    Associate or Member of an appropriate professional institution; 
•    PRINCE 2 of MAPM qualification, or capable of achieving the qualification within 12 months;;
•    Basic knowledge and understanding of construction contracts and processes;
•    Knowledge of structured project control processes;
•    Experience, working either as a client, consultant or contractor, in public and/or private sector environments;
•    Typically up to 5 years post graduate experience
